Through this blog collection I'll be putting Source of Dreams to the test. Not measured in funding, size, or engagement, but to see if I can grow a community where its members are supported on their journey of self-discovery towards their dreams. There will be space here for members to share their dreams and I want to lead by example by being the first to share this goal.
To be transparent, the idea to share this goal scares me and feels like the hardest part about developing this game. Creating an online presence is the stage where I need the most guidance and support. Not only is it the stage that feels most ambiguous, it's very much outside of my comfort zone. But if I can pull it off, my hope is that it will not only help me. My hope is that you and others witnessing this part of my journey will gain insight as I share my journey. I plan to use Source of Dreams through recorded play sessions and will share the theories/experience behind its framework. The more you learn, the more you'll see how everything on this creator page and my game go hand in hand, and how it might apply to other areas of life.
I don't know if this is a smart or effective way to build community, but I feel called to try (stick around and you'll learn why this is so important). It feels authentic, natural, and tailored to my values. It calls to me, and so I know that I must try and demonstrate my belief in what I've put 3 years of development into. If it resonates with you, hopefully it's something you can try yourself or learn from. There will be space here and support to do so.
Creating this game has been a dream for me where I get to combine my passion for psychology, gaming, creativity, and spirituality. Source of Dreams and this space, however, do not constitute or replace therapy with a licensed professional, is meant for entertainment and educational purposes only, not professional advice.
Thank you and the dreams that brought you here!
